5 Chic Places We Love on King West #MyBsideJourney
Posted: Nov 30 2015
It should come as no surprise that we love to scour every city in Canada for chic canuck spots we can't wait to share with you. Naturally, we've got a huge roster of favourites in our hometown of Toronto, and we're excited to share our list of 5 Chic Places We Love on King West as part f our #MyBsideJourney with Minto Westside.
King West is definitely one of our favourite areas in Toronto for eating and drinking; recently it seems to have become a hub for some of the best restaurants in the city - even Drake's new restaurant is located on King West!
Wanting to live in the area is a no-brainer for any mover and shaker who wants to be near the action, and now there's more reason than ever before to invest in a great spot to call your own. Right now, and for a very limited time, Bside at Minto Westside and Nissan Canada have partnered to offer free electric cars for purchasers, setting a new sustainability benchmark in the city.
Part of living a chic canuck life is caring about your carbon footprint, which is why we're very excited to share this fantastic initiative with you. Right now, if a purchaser buys a parking space equipped with an electric vehicle charging station along with their condo, Minto will throw in Canada's top-selling, fully-electric car, the Nissan LEAF, for FREE. Now how chic is that?
Since we're big fans of the area where Bside will be built (Front and Bathurst), we teamed up to share our #MyBsideJourney to showcase 5 Chic Places We Love on King West! See below for our top picks:

We pay a visit to Portland Variety on a weekly (if not daily) basis. We can't get enough of their tasty Americanos and oh-so-naught but oh-so-good fresh baked goods. We also love to visit for lunch, dinner and/or drinks, sitting down in their beautiful back dining room with friends and colleagues. Portland Variety is located at 587 King Street West

We are always suckers for good Italian food and were so excited when Buca opened up Bar Buca just around the corner on Portland street. This is such a great spot for coffee, drinks and light snacks. The lounge offers Italian small and large plates, skewers and a number of wines by the glass. We'd recommend this spot for a great first date, or even a date with friends! Bar Buca is located at 75 Portland Street. http://www.buca.ca/bar/
Once you take a step inside of Colette Grand Cafe you'll instantly be transported to Paris. We can't get enough of the incredible lavish decor in this restaurant, as well as the amazing food that we always enjoy there. We also love that you can grab a quick coffee from the cafe off to the side of the restaurant when you don't have time for a sit-down meal. Colette Grand Cafe is located at 550 Wellington Street http://www.colettetoronto.com/
If we could hang out at Her Majesty's Pleasure all day, every day, we would. This incredible spot on the King West strip is a beautiful mix of sensory experiences - fusing an enchanting cafe, juice-bar, retail boutique and salon all in one. We love treating ourselves to a visit for a blow out, facial and mani pedi for the ultimate girl's day experience. Her Majesty's Pleasure is located at 556 King Street West http://www.hermajestyspleasure.ca/
Fring's is the new restaurant opened by Drake that we mentioned above. We'll be honest, we mainly love it because we love Drake, but, we also love it's fun decor and over-all vibe. Who wouldn't love a restaurant owned by Drake that plays nothing but Drake's music? Did we mention that there is a large amount of emoji decor throughout the space, making it ever so instagram-worthy? If you don't go for the food, go for the pictures you can share, at least. Fring's is located at 455 King Street West http://www.fringsrestaurant.com/
